Creative Catholic Library

Saint John Bosco is famous for saying, “Only God knows the good that can come about by reading one good Catholic book.” Imagine the good that would come about if every child had the opportunity to read dozens of good Catholic books!

I believe that our children benefit not only from reading a wide variety of Catholic books but also from reading novels and living books that help us contemplate truth and inspire us to lead lives of heroic virtue.

Building this type of children's library takes intentionality and attentiveness to the interests and needs of the children we teach. Carefully curating books for our library is a worthy endeavor—one that will nourish the hearts, minds, and souls of our children for years to come.

I like to think of this intentionally curated library as my Creative Catholic Library. Here you will find book recommendations to help you grow or start your own library!

Every month we feature a review for one of our Sunday read-alouds. The books featured are great Catholic/Christian picture books that we are sure your family will love!

I've created a few scholastic-reader-style book guides to spice up how we find books. Laminate or slip these pages in page protectors for your children/students to peruse! You can find them here:
