Sitting with the Saints Collectables
A few years ago, I created worksheets I called Sitting with the Saints. Each page featured a quote for students to "sit with" and record their thoughts on what the quote meant to them. While worksheets were easier to collect and read, I've found it better to ask students to collect and reflect in their notebooks. Their reflections can be more personal, and the quote, if it inspires them, can sit with them for years to come.
This month, we are sitting with Saint Pope John Paul II. You can download the "collectable" here! You can download the image to print for a bulletin board here.
Here is a simple writing prompt you can share with your students:
How can the future start today?
Write about what Pope John Paul II meant when he said the future starts today, not tomorrow. Give examples of what it might look like to live like the future begins today!
