September Notebook Sample

As a classroom teacher, I noticed that when I took the time to write and share simple poems or stories, it inspired my students to do the same. I was amazed to see how opening up the door to my own thoughts and ideas helped cultivate a culture of authentic sharing and encouragement in the classroom.

Every now and then, I'll be posting a page from my writer's notebook. This particular page from my notebook includes a photograph that I used to help me reflect on the wonder of childhood, quotes that are speaking to me lately, and a simple reflection I wrote.

Feel free to use these pages as examples for your students or use it to inspire your own collection!
