Small House Organization

Because we live in a relatively small house, I've had to get creative with our storage so that we can continue to be creative without there being things EVERYWHERE.

Here are a couple of things I've figured out:

1) Using our ottoman to store puzzles and games. I love these heavy-duty zipper bags from Amazon.

2) I keep portfolio binders on a shelf in our bedroom, but I found that my oldest two would get very upset if I tried to get rid of artwork and writing that didn't make the portfolio cut. I decided to start a bin for each child so that any papers they wish to save can have a home. When their box gets too full, they have to make choices to thin it down. So far, so good on that front.

3) Above the paper bins, I keep clipboards that we use as our drying rack for paintings!

4) And finally, I repurposed our baby bottle drying rack to use in the bathroom as our paint supplies drying rack.

Just a couple of simple ways to keep things organized in a small house! Maybe someday we will have my dream craft room, but for now, this works :)
